Can you have your teeth whitened with a cap in?

Q. Hi Rob, My Wife has a thirty year old Cap on one of her front teeth (Very good quality and design) I would like to buy her teeth whiteneing for her birthday , but will this be possible with her Cap? Regards.,
A. the cap will not whiten with the procedure but if the cap is 31 years old it may alrerady be lighter than the natural teeth. Whitening around an already light crown will help the teeth to harmonise Rob
