Can I have uncomfortable denture replaced?

Q. Hi there, I suffer from gum recession and it is likely that I will eventually lose my teeth; due to periodontic problems. I just had two teeth out and have had a partial denture fitted on a plate. Whilst the denture looks good, the plate in the roof of my mouth feels so awful. Bulky etc. It cost me £400. When my gums heal, then is it right that I will have to have another one made? again loads more money. I hate my smile, with the gum recession and am thinking about just having the front 6 teeth out and be done with it. Any ideas?,
A. Dentures unfortuantly are never comfortable. There are other options besides dentures, but they are usually costly. It’s advisable to see a Periodontist for your gums before you make any decision to remove teeth. We hate seeing patients lose teeth!
