can I have my teeth and my crowns whitened

Q. Dr Butt, I used to have gaps in all my front teeth so around 10 years ago I had 4 crowns to get rid of the gaps. The dentist that carried out the surgery matched the colour of my crowns to the colour of my existing teeth which is slightly off-white. I was wondering whether it’s possible to have my teeth including my crowns whitened? I have not been to a dentist for a consultation as yet. Please refer me to the most relevant dentist if this is not an area you specialise in. Many Thanks,

A. Hi
the simple answer is that the crowns will not change colour with whitening.
you would have to whiten your natural teeth then have your crowns changed to match.
we offer free consults if you wish to discuss this further
