Can I have implants if already had denture for a while?

Q. I have had a bridge for several years and recently I had to have it replaced with a denture ,My dentist said that the teeth the bridge was attached too was no longer secure I now have a denture in place of my four front teeth which I hate. My question is would it still be possible to have dental implants?? or have my gums at the front shrunk back too far to have this procedure.,
A. Only a scan and examination will tell me if the gum has shrunk back. If the bone is still there then placement of dental implants would be a very good way of securing fixed teeth

I had a root canal filling some years ago, then last week my tooth (front lower) cracked across at the gum line when I bit into an apple. I imagine the tooth is weak. I’ve had to go to the dentist who temporarily has stabilised it. I wanted a crown on the remaining root but they have recommended an extraction and denture. I hate to lose my teeth and have a denture. How much root needs to be there still to secure a crown. Is there anything else I could do. Thanks for any advice.
