Can I have cosmetic dental work to cover my exposed roots?

Q.
Hi, I have previously had gum disease. It’s better now as it has been treated, but my teeth are exposed at the root. Can any cosmetic dental work help improve the appearance of my teeth? My teeth are quite small too. I have looked at veneers, but I don’t think this would help me as the problem is at the root with the gum?

Also, are there any payment plans that could help me with the cost of this?

Thanks

A.
It might be possible for you to have a gum graft to hide the appearance of the roots of the teeth. A removable gum appliance can also be very effective. There may be some bonding techniques that could also help to improve the appearance of the roots. Please come and see us for a consultaiton or meet with an experienced cosmetic dentist and periodontist (a gum specialist) who has experience in gum grafting procedures. We have both these services availabe in my practice in Harley Street.

Kind regards

Mark
