I was born without the right lateral tooth and always had a gap between my front teeth. Now I am too old for braces and I had a rear molar removed in the back upper and the two front teeth have shifted over further, so much that the one front tooth is almost in the place that the lateral tooth should be in, so it is set back. I want to do veneers or Lumineers, but I am not sure what can be done. Please help. I went for a consultation and an orthodontist confirmed I am too old to start shifting teeth around but I already knew that. I left that practice because there was no alternative solution given, except root canal on a perfectly healthy tooth to shave down the length. I believe the gap can be lessened by veneers and if not corrected totally.

I had my veneers fitted last Thursday and the dentist made changes to both the colour I had decided upon and also the shape etc. without discussing with me (or gaining any consent) prior to them being fitted. He also didn’t show me the veneers before cementing them on.
He now says that he can’t fit me in until next week to discuss my concerns.
Is he allowed to have made changes to my veneers without consulting me about these changes first? I am now left with teeth half a shade darker and he has also taken the liberty of adding a mix to them, to make them natural – I wanted B1 and he said to me (only AFTER he had finished my veneer fitting treatment) that he had made them B2 – I am so disappointed and distressed as he has also shortened them and pushed them back..
Where do I stand – what can be done?
Any help would be gratefully received.
Will Veneers on Just 4 Teeth Make a Noticeable Difference?

Before visiting my dentist I had in mind just the top 8 teeth but my dentist advised to just get the front 4, as my other teeth are good size, with just 4 veneers and the other 4 teeth visible in my smile. Will there be a noticeable difference? And as a separate question, my dentist also advised Zirconium veneers but Google results suggest these aren’t the best for front teeth. Can you offer any advice on the above questions and any recommendations?

Monday, April 20th, 2015My teeth are in quite a state. They are discoloured, one is chipped, and I was also advised I have too many teeth in my mouth. Stemming from a mental health reason, I have eaten sweets over the years and now I am paying the price. I don’t apply for jobs that require customer contact as I have a great fear that people are looking at my teeth, which makes me so depressed. I also never smile for the same reason. Wednesday, April 15th, 2015Hi. I used to wear fixed top and bottom braces when I was younger, for three years. My teeth were perfect but started to move about 7 years ago. On my top teeth, one front tooth has started to stick out a little and it’s very upsetting. How can this be corrected naturally, without veneers etc.? My bottom teeth are very crooked now, I had about 4 teeth extracted when the braces were fitted as I have a small mouth but large teeth, my jaw is cross biting and it’s effecting my speech slightly. My orthodontic asked me to go to a prosthodontist and an endodontist for my two teeth. I am concerned how it will go inward and sharpen up. I am more concerned about the procedure. Moreover, endodontics means my tooth will be dead after etc. I am also concerned about the life of a prosthetic cap. Please help, shall I go for it?
