Can all my teeth be whitened to look the same, including the crowns?

Q. My teeth were stained when I was young due to medication, tetracyllin,I think,I also have crowns on my top front 6 teeth. Can all the teeth be whitened to look the same, the crowns are not the whitest either,
A. Hi, in answer to your question there are no whitening products on the market that will whiten crowns, Tooth whitening treatments only whiten natural tooth enamel. Whitening can lift tetracycline stain to some degree. We offer a tooth whitening treatment called enlighten, It may be that you may require a slightly longer course of whitening but this would have the best results. The only way of making the crowns appear lighter would be to have these replaced to match the shade of the new whitened teeth.
