What Are My Options When It Comes To Closing The Gaps In My Teeth?

Q.
Hi Mark, I just wanted to ask a question regarding the gaps between my teeth. My 4 front teeth on the top of my mouth seem way too small for my jaw and therefore there are gaps in between each tooth, which are very dominant. My 4 front teeth on my bottom row also seem to have minor gaps in between them. They’ve been like this ever since I was young, I am now 20 years old. I was just wondering what my options are when it comes to getting these gaps closed?

Thank you.

Hi. There are many options that could work (of course I’d have to see you or some photos at the very least to assess this properly)

1. Orthodontics
2. Bonding
3. Veneers
4. Crowns (although this would likely be too excessive a treatment in terms of tooth destruction)
5. Implants or bridges (if the gaps are very large). Your next step should be to see a very experienced cosmetic dentist who can advise you of the best route to take in your case. Best wishes, Mark.
