Good day Dr Hughes. I hope you can help me. Can I have dental veneers fitted when my two front teeth are slightly crossed over? I have always been self conscious about my teeth and veneer treatment seems to be the best option for me so far. I’m just unsure whether this would work as a friend told me that veneers are more commonly used for gaps. Also am I able to pay on finance when getting veneers? Am I able to get veneers at the age of 18 years old?

Hi Dr Gambroudes, I have a real fear of dentists. The whole experience is a nightmare. Can you recommend a dentist where I can get my teeth fixed? I have very badly rotten and broken teeth throughout my mouth but now it’s getting to the point that I no longer feel I want to open my mouth. I want them fixed or removed and replaced if possible. I want to go out and be able to smile at people without them giving me dirty looks. Also having teeth will boost my confidence and allow me to get a face to face job instead of me applying for all the job where I don’t have to see customers so to speak. Please can you help.

My Teeth Won’t Close Together Properly As I Used To Suck My Thumb. If I Was To Get An Operation For This, Would I Have To Pay?

Hello Dr Hughes. My teeth won’t close together and it’s they’re all messed up because I used to suck my thumb. I stopped this last year. I really want an operation on my mouth. I can’t even smile. If I was to get an operation do I have to pay? My tongue sticks out and it’s really annoying. I really want to have a perfect straight smile that would close properly and I want to feel happy and good about my teeth.
My jaws are really wonky and they won’t close together while my front teeth are really messed up and they won’t close together. I really need to help. I would love to get surgery.

Hello Dr Gambroudes, I just want to ask a quick question. I’m 19 and I need work done on my teeth. I’ve had a bridge fitted and a few teeth built up to look more natural. I was told they would only last a few years and I would now like something more permanent. I’ve heard from friends that I can get teeth done by a student dentist. I was wondering if you can recommend anything. I’m very self-conscious about the way my teeth look and would like something to be done. Thank you.

Hello Dr Hughes. I would like to have my front teeth straightened they seem to have moved with age. I had them straightened in my thirties the normal way with the metal ones and had superb results, yet 20 years on they have moved and I’m very self-conscious of them. My problem is that I’ve had some teeth removed at the back due to no fault of my own so I think this has caused them to move. So I may need a denture or something to stop them moving in the future. I’m sure this will be very expensive so I’d like to know if there are payment plans available at all?

Hi Marcus. My teeth are badly decayed that it’s got to the point that I cover my mouth when speaking and I am terrified of the dentist due to a bad experience. Even my children are embarrassed by my teeth. They started decaying when things went wrong in my life. My teeth are making me depressed I won’t even have a photo taken. I won’t even take or pick my little girl up from school in case someone speaks to me that I don’t know what to do please help.

Hi Dr Patel. I am a 29 year old mum of 4 and when I fell pregnant with my son my teeth just started to rot and some even fell out. I have lost all confidence and avoid social gatherings as I have discoloured teeth along with some missing. My husband complains that I never smile. Hello Dr Patel. I am 47 years old and I want to have a photograph taken with my family and smile, which I have not been able to do. I would like to know if I can pay on a monthly basis? My top teeth have 2 screws in them them and half of them are broken. I have been told by one dentist that one tooth is badly damaged and when it’s taken out may take up to three months to heal unless I can go private. I have a gap between my two teeth and I’m really embarrassed of my teeth, but when I asked my old dentist they said I can’t have braces because it’s a cosmetic thing. So I really want to ask my new dentist. Do you thing they will say yes if I tell her I’m embarrassed to smile? I’m scared they will say no. I don’t know what to tell her? Hi Dr Patel, I am 54 years old and an ex-smoker. My teeth are mostly bridges, and my question is: Could I have these replaced for a whiter, brighter smile? I have being considering implants so as to have something more permanent, but found them to be very costly.
