I’ve had a dental composite filling done and have had constant headaches ever since that make me vomit and I feel slow with bad concentration and brain fog. I never had headaches or these reactions before the filling – could it be a toxic reaction to the filling? The filling has a strong plastic taste to it which I can detect but have generally been feeling very unwell since it was placed. Have you seen this kind of reaction before in patients? I have an existing immunological disease.
Thanks.

Could I Be Having a Toxic Reaction to my Filling?
Tuesday, May 5th, 2015Can a Filling Make You Feel Unwell Afterwards?
Wednesday, April 8th, 2015Dr Moore, have you ever seen patients complain of illness after a composite dental filling was placed? I had a filling done behind my front tooth and have been feeling very unwell ever since. I felt absolutely fine before the filling was placed but since then have been getting very bad headaches, brain fog and a general feeling of un-wellness. The material used was called Venus Flow but I am told it cannot be removed. Can a tooth be removed to rid the problem if the material is impossible to remove? Thanks.
I Fed Up Of The Constant Headaches Caused By TMJ Disorder. Please Tell Me Which Treatments Can Help?
Tuesday, July 8th, 2014Please help! I have suffered from TMJ for the past 2.5 years have tried antidepressants, and worn soft and hard upper and lower mouth guards at night and had botox in my jaw line. Please advise me of other treatments (arthoscopy?) and could you recommend someone in the Midlands, a nero muscular dentist perhaps or consultant who can do surgery? I’m fed up with being fobbed off by the NHS. The constant headaches and misaligned jaw is making my life unbearable. Thanks.
I Have Been Having Some Pain In My Temple And My Upper Left Jaw. Is This Caused By A Dental Problem?
Thursday, February 6th, 2014Hello Dr Hughes. I have been having some pain in my temple, my upper left jaw, behind my ear and in addition I’ve been getting a burning sensation in my head. Additionally, when I put on my glasses I can feel a ‘tender’ spot over my ear. When I place a cold pack on the area it feels better but I can definitely feel the cold on the nerve which is highly annoying. My question is more about the burning pain in my head. Can that be generated from the nerve in my tooth? It would be great if you could help me clear this up. Thanks.
I Have Suffered With A Sinus-Like Head Cold Ever Since My Sinus Lift Procedure. Will This Go Away?
Wednesday, January 29th, 2014Hello Dr Hughes, I had a sinus uplift procedure 7 weeks ago which was successful. I had the stitches removed after 10 days and everything seems to be healing well. However I have suffered with a sinus-like head cold ever since the procedure, which is not improving after taking over the counter medicines. Is this problem linked to my procedure of just a coincidence? If it is linked, how long do I have to suffer with the symptoms? Am I likely to suffer with this problem for the foreseeable future? I do not usually tend to suffer with sinus related colds. I look forward to your reply. Thank you.
Getting veneer has made my jaw ache and caused me headaches. What should I do?
Thursday, November 29th, 2012I had veneers placed on peg laterals. once covered in bonding it was time to replace the material. My new teeth hurt and look bad. My teeth are moving, partucularly the neighboring teeth on the left and it is ruining my orthadontic work. My jaw hurts despite my following g dentist directions to use Advil and ice. It has been six weeks from her first attempt and one week from her replacing I e veneer due to what she thought was a bad color. My dentist has done six adjustments and one replacement but I can only close my jaw comfortably laying down, not standing, talking, or eating. I have a gap now and a constant headache. What is wrong?
I have lost most of my teeth but cannot afford the cost of dental work, what can I do?
Monday, October 17th, 2011Hi, I am wondering if you know of any places or if people ever do pro bono work. I am 38, have lost almost all my teeth, have barely any gums left and am always having headaches and at times extreme pain due to broken teeth. I never feel good and I believe its due to my mouth. I can barely chew food any more which is causing stomach issues now. i am in the Asheville area of NC and am a mom to a k and a 1st grader and a wife. I dont want to die early and live with this embarrassement anymore cause I know I have a wonderful life to live for. Im so tired of living like this and we dont have money so I havent visited a dentist in probably 20 years. Any ideas or suggestions would be so appreciated
