Q. I have been told have periodontitis and and a few of my teeth had started to rot and the tops it is not black just looks ike the teeth have worn away( looks like a bit is missing) i have ben told i need to have root canal on one tooth to save it, im really really worried im going to lose all my teeth, i have a lovely smile and i went thru alot of stress and neglected myself a bit, i dont think the problem is svere yet having looked at cases on the net, however im still concerned i will lose my teeth, back ones i dont mind but i really dont want to lose my smile, is there anything i can do, i have been out on some anti biotocs for gums, im 29yrs old.
A. You need to see a periodontist (gum specialist) or Hygienist to begin a course of gum therapy to save your teeth. Once the gums are stable regular maintenance visits will be essential to make sure you don’t loose any front teeth
