Is possible to construct partial dentures on a patient with receeding gums?

Q. Is it possible to construct a partial denture on a patient with receeding gums?

A. Yes. this is possible- as long as you’re aware that the denture will need replacing more often- for aesthetics and fit. this is due to the gums shrinking back.
The best option, ideally, is to stabilise the gums first to prevent the recession. This can be done by regular hyginist visits and a thorough home cleaning regime.
