I would like another option to denture fixative. Advise?
Q.
Hello Doctor
I have a 53 year old daughter with slight learning difficulties. She has
a full denture on the top and the bottom. She has great difficulty
keeping the bottom plate in place. She uses masses of fixative which
then ends up all over her face etc.., I want to know if there is any
possibility of her having a couple of implants that would then help to
hold her plate in place? I am not even sure if she could cope with
having implants or come to that if we could afford it. I am sorry I
can’t possibly make my question any longer. hope you can help

Hello
The implant-retianed option for a new denture seems like it would be the ideal solution for you. My advice would be to seek treatment either privately or vis the NHS hospital system , with a specialist prosthodontist for the best analysis of her needs and some treatment options
