I was told that I should’ve been given more whitener to use at home, what should I do?
Q.
I had made teeth whitened at the dentist using the Zoom 2 technique in Dec 2010, I was very pleased with the results since they went 7 shades lighter, and they werent that bad in the 1st place. I was given one application of de-sentising solution and one application of whitener to use 48hrs later. Two months later my teeth are the same colour as before, I dont drink red wine, tea, coffee or smoke and was wondering if this was normal. I look after my teeth and rang the dental surgery this morning who said I should have had more whitener to use at home, could I have your advice please

A.
You should of been given more tubes of the take home gel. We usually recommend patients to top the whitening up at home around every 6 months with their home trays.
