I need veneers on NHS is it possible?

Q. Hi Julian.. i have had years of work done to my teeth under the orthodontists in liverpool which included opperations braces and reatainers.. my teeth ahve improved since i started treatments at the age of 7. I am now 20 and my left front tooth overlaps the one to the left of it making me feel uncomfortable and ashamed.. i was wondering wether i could get veeneers on NHS because i am not working at the moment and woud be able to afford to pay for them.. could u email me back with advice please thankyou.

A. Unfortunately cosmetic work such as Veneers are not avaible on the NHS. You may want to contact a local cosmetic dentist to find out payment options.Kind regards Dr Justin Glaister

hi i was wondering if it was possible to get veneers on nhs treatment as im on income support and i dnt have much income, the enamel has come off of my two front teeth and im very shy because of it i dnt like to smile or talk to new people because of them, im currently with hathaway dental practice and my dentist said too me that it cost £400 for veneers and i dnt have that sort of cash but i really want my teeth white so i wnt be nervous about when i laugh, smile or talk

If the veneers are for cosmetic reasons and an elective choice rather than for a health reasons then this is not normally something within the remit of NHS care, as it is meant to be for health care Kind regards
