Q. I have had my front 3 teeth capped for several years but have recently had the post of the centre tooth snap. I have been told of the options but wonder why I have to have the root removed, use a temporary denture for three months, and then have a bridge fitted. Is is not possible to leave the centre root section in and make the centre of the crown fit into it as it would if there was a post.
A. Unless you can remove the post without breaking the root a bridge or maybe an implant might work better. you could consider an immediate implant so you won’t need a temporary denture or a temporary bridge
