Can anything be done about my loose upper denture?
Q. I have an upper denture fitted in sept 2009, now it is starting to become loose, please can you tellme what i should do. also i have to use a fixatgive to keep them in and di so from the first day of having them fitted. thank you.,
A. If your mouth has changed shape since sept 2009 but is now stable you should have a new set of teeth made. If your mouth is still changing you could have the dentures relined. Your mouth changes shape quite quickly following tooth extractions, stable often 6-12 months after. Further tooth loss restarts the reshaping. Other causes are rapid wieght loss or gain. Rob
