Would the fitting of a damon brace interfere with the perfect bite?
Q. I have read about Damon Braces in the USA and have seen good results, my lower teeth are straight, I have never required any dental work, just reg. check ups, and oral hygenist visits. However I do have a front teeth overlapping problem, the two teeth both sides of the main incisors, have been told by my dentist in Australia that I have a perfect bite. 1.Would the fitting of a Damon brace interfere with the perfect bite. 2.Would the fitting of a Damon brace to my upper teeth, require a brace on my lower teeth?
A. If your teeth are in a good position then you may only need a brace to the upper jaw however to get the best bite I generally place braces on both jaws. It is something that would need to be assessed, I believe damon braces are the best treatment for crooked teeth.
