would I need to restraightened my front teeth before Ive my bridges replaced?

Q. As a teenager I had extensive orthodontist work so that my teeth were perfectly straightened. On both side of my two front teeth I have a false tooth which is attached with a one-winged maryland bridge. Although 7 years on they haven’t yet (touch wood) dropped out I’m looking to have them replaced. I’d like to get my teeth whitened and then replaced but am concerned if I do this that overtime my bridges will stay perfectly white while my teeth may stain again. Also since I finished all my orthodontist work, my two front teeth have become slightly misaligned which I think may be the reason why my bridges don’t fit as well. Would I need to have them re straightened before I have my bridges replaced? Thank you

A.

The slight misalignment may be able to be corrected with the replacement of your maryland bridge but I would have to assess your mouth to advise you for certain. You are welocme to book an appointment to see me at my clinic where i work alonside a team of specialists, includind an orthosontist, and can advise you on the best route forward.
