Will my fillings whiten whilst having the teeth whitening treatment?

Q. i am getting my teeth whitening via the moulds that are made for my mouth and the whitening provided by the dentist. i was wondering if any fillings will also whiten?,
A. Fillings will not whiten. If you have any tooth coloured fillings at the front, then I would advise that you reach your desired tooth colour with the bleaching first, and then have the filings changed to match in with the new colour. For best results, the dentist will use a good composite filling system that will have very natural aesthetics.

Hi, yes -silver fillings or any synthetic restoration of any material will not change colour with any whitening procedure.

I have had quite a lot of dental work done, but I have moved around a lot so it is pretty patchy. I am now settled in one place and have a bit of spare cash, what could I do to try and give myself a good smile, can I have fillings refilled and stuff?

Dentistry can provide you with whatever you would like your smile to be. The question is what do you want? If you want the fillings changed you can do that as well as anything else you would like to do to improve your smile including something as simple as whitening or porcelain veneers depending on your situation
