why is that all makeovers are looking very dense looking and not at all natural and translucent
Q. I want to have my old crowns replaced which are the old type (bonded to metal). When I looked at the smile gallery I was very disappointed to see that the makeovers all look very dense looking and not at all natural and translucent like i imagined. Why is this?
A. Hi the amount of transluscency in a crown is tailored to what the patient wants.whereas a little transluscency at the tip is natural , throughout the tooth this is not common.
if the teeth under the crowns are dark then less transluscency will be applied to block this out
