A. It depends on what the situation is. In the anterior region a pressed ceramic crown is best. This doesn’t require the tooth to be drilled down as much as other crowns. It is a very natural looking crown and it adhesively bonds to the tooth so the reulting restotation is stron.
In the posterior section of the mouth the best crown is still a porcelain bonded to metal crown. Mant=y dentists would recommend a crown made of zirconia and porcelain. Although these are extremely strong there is a very high incidence of fracture of porcelain from these restorations and they can be very opaque.
If the tooth simply needs to be overlaid then a poraclin onlay would be the treatment option
