What would be the cost to have braces to fix jaw problem?
Q. I have an overbite, which makes my jaw uncomfortable when I shut my jaw and I also have crowded teeth on the top and bottom. I am 20 and in full time education and want to know how much it would cost to have a brace to fix the problem.,
A. I’m afraid that you would need to pay privately for any orthodontic treatment. There are several options available- but as you have an open- bite, I would suggest that you opt for a fixed brace.Prices vary, but Expect to pay around £3000+Many orthodontists provide free consultations. As I haven’t seen you and your teeth, it is hard for me to make an estimate. As for the pain that you are getting, it sounds as though you could be grinding/clenching your teeth. you need to see your dentist about this and you may need to wear a night guard.Hope this has helped and good luck
