What does pain in cheek and no actual pain in teeth signify?

Q. Five months ago I had one of my front teeth removed and a partial pallet fitted. Two days ago I started getting pain in my cheek and now my cheek is swollen. If I smile or try to move my mouth I have severe pain in my cheek and along my top jaw. I am just assuming I have an abcess or infection. I have no actual pain in my teeth. I am terrified of Dentist’s could you please advise me what I should do.

A. It doesn sound like you have an abscess. you need to book in wit your dentist you will diagnose and treat as necessary.

Kind regards
