What can I do to fix my cracking jaw and my misaligned teeth?
Q. Hello, I am 19 years old and have already worn a brace for a long period of time a few years ago because I used to suck my thumb as a child. Although I have no gaps now i feel as though nothing is in line, i have no comfortable bite and quite bad problems with a cracking jaw (i cant open it without cracking and its sometimes painful) and my smile is squint and embarrassing. The jaw issue has only been for about 6-8months and I think it became a permanent problem after a filling I had but I cant be sure. Would you recomment that I leave it to sort itself out or does something need to be done? I get married in six months and dont want to be wearing a visible brace then.,
A. You could maybe have invisalign to align your teeth and improve your bite but it may not resolve your problems. Find a good dentist that does invisalign and fixed braces so you can get the best options.
