What can done to fix my relapsed teeth?

Q.
Dear all,
I am a 35 year old woman and I just took off 6months braces to close up a huge gap between my 2 front teeth (incisors), which i wore for a year. I took them off on the 13th of July 2010 and i am not happy with the result. At present i have 3 issues – One – I didnt get the retainer on the day i took out the braces till 4days after and the gap started opening up, Two- my overbite size is increasing as i do not have proper retainers. three my mid line has shifted and 4 my lower jaw is shifting to the right on its own i am making a consious effort to hold it together. its been a month since i took off the braces and i am yet to have a permanent retainer. i have complained to him and his story keeps changing. i need to confirm if this is normal process. so i can address this issues i have with him properly. i basically didnt get the treatment i was expecting.

Also he didnt do an xray before we started the treatment is that normal

thanking you in Advance.

Hi

I personally put my patients into retention immediately, within minutes, to try to avoid as much instant relapse as possible. An immediate fixed bonded retainer is ideal. You could ask your dentist if there are any options to try to correct the relapse, such as Simpli5 or Invisalign and then get into retention straight away
