What can be done for worn down tooth fillings?

Q. I am 79 but with a strong nearly full set of teeth. After the sudden death of my husband I have ground/worn one of my back tooth fillings down so badly that my front bottom teeth are cutting into the gum between my top front teeth when I chew. Can anything be done to repair the back tooth to restore the level?,
A. Yes there is, it’s what’s called a build – up. This is done by building up the tooth with composite resin and then placing a crown on the tooth to strengthen it. I advise you get a thorough examination before you commence.Justin Glaisterwww.umbrellasmiles.com
