What can be done for tooth that keeps coming loose?

Q. Hi there,i have had to have my front tooth filled twice in the space of a couple of months as it kept going slack then fell out,i got quite a shock when it fell out at the amount of tooth that had been taken away..i changed my dentist as i wasnt happy with this happening all the time and when he refilled it he had to do more drilling due to some decay and said if it falls out again i would need to get a crown! I am worried about this and definately dont want to loose my front tooth, i would also like to know some reasons as to why it keeps coming loose so i can prevent this from happening? thanyou very much.,
A. Sometimes the forces that are involved in biting are too great for the white filling to cope with and the bond fails. A crown will grip more of the tooth and reduce the chances of failure – your dentist need to be very careful with the bite adjustments
