What can be done for tooth that is too high in jaw line?

Q. Hello Dr. Moore. At first I would like to thank you for your time! In brief, I’m an 18 year old female and I have a problem with one of my upper canine teeth. My right upper canine took a very long time to come in after my baby tooth fell out; it began growing around age 16. Now, two and a half years later, it seems to be grown, however, it sits much higher in my jaw than all other teeth. I’m definitely ready to bring it down! However, I do not need/want braces as my other teeth are straight so I’m looking for a procedure that focuses on this tooth only. Any suggestions on what can be done? The time frame? And the approximate cost? Here is my tooth: http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d160/iheartmelots/id123.jpg Please help me!! Again, I appreciate your time and thank you so much in advance!!,
A. hello, thanks for your message, thats a good way of showing me whats happening in there. If you’re really lucky the tooth might still carry on erupting, alternatively a fixed brace is the only way of pulling the tooth down into the arch.

My back teeth are not flat when I open my mouth the top of my back teeth are what you see. If I were to get them pulled instead of pulling up you would just pull straight out forward.

I am getting married and am really worried about my teeth. It’sthe one day that I have to smile LOTS and I am looking to see what my options are please? My left eye tooth came through when I was 14, bigger and more crooked (one side sticks forward) than I thought it would. My right eye tooth has still not fallen out so is smaller than the left. About 6 months ago, what would appear to be my new eye tooth, started to poke out of my gumbut further backward than it should be to push out my right fang. Since this started, I have a constant irritation at the top of my mouth on the right and it feels like my top teeth are changing position. They feel more wiggly than ever and I am dreading what I will look like on my wedding day, andafterwards! My densist had advised that ‘I just have to wait for it to fall out, then we can consider a brace’, at 25!! Could you let me know whatoptions I have? Thanks
