What are the better adhesives that can secure crown and post?

Q. I have a front top central tooth fitted with a crown with post, I had it fitted many years ago but recently the post bent forcing the tooth forward. I’m told by my dentist this was because of my overbite. He removed the crown & post and made me a new one. The new crown & post will now not stay in for longer than a few days, even though I’m not biting on it. Are there more expensive / better adhesives that could be used to secure it?

A. I guess he would have use the best cement unless this is the temporary tooth placed before the new one is made.
