Tooth looks grey

Q. Okay so first of all I had a filling replaced on my front tooth, then I noticed it was really hard to floss because the filling was bulkier than before and I felt constant pressure. So I returned to the dentist and he said I needed a root canal, and we did a root canal. during this whole process my tooth has moved back slightly, which he was not too concerned with, but today :’( I just noticed it’s slightly grey. I am in my early thirties and getting married in June, I cannot have a grey tooth!!!!!! Is it possible the dentist is at fault….it was only after he worked on it that it shifted and is now turning grey. What are my options for fixing?,
A. hi it is unlikely any shifting was caused by the dentist specifically but may be linked to some some underlying gum problem which was hopefully addressed at the time of the filling the root canal may have been required due to the fact the filling was deep and the nerve died as a result this leads to the tooth discolouring and in this case you may also end up with a crown or veneer ,the discolouration does not happen to everyone and you fall into the small bracket of patients where this occurs so you have just been unlucky but i dont see a direct correlation between something being done wrong here
