There is a gap between my fillings and is very painful can you advice?

Q. Dear Dr Moore, I had a filling done between two premolars, and both teeth now have fillings. The problem is that apart from chewing being uncomfortable, they don’t fit well with the bottom teeh and there is now a gap that gets infected and is very painful. I have been back but was not able to find the same dentist and another dentist said that the xray doesn’t show any problem and that everything is fine, but that area between the premolars stings sharply, is itchy and swells up. Looking in the mirror all I can see is that the shape of the teeth is different and they seem bigger. I am very confused and don’t know what to do. How can I get them to look and feel like they used to?

A. It sounds like they might need redoing. Maybe get a 2nd opinion from another dentist. this might help you to decide what to do

Only one side of my teeth are overlapping but it is not painful. But still, I notice that there is no gap, but there is definitively a difference on my right side upper side teeth than my left. I only noticed this issue after I received a temporary crown on my left upper side of my teeth. Is this normal? I feel so self conscious because it is very noticeable when I smile.
