The abcess is back and I have been told to have a bridge to replace my two front teeth

Q. I have had 3 apiesectomies for an abcess above a front crown.The last operation was in hospital and my gum line has been ruined above one crown making my tooth look longer than the other and also showing the terrible black line. The abcess is back and I have been told to have a bridge to replace my two front teeth. I am concerned about the supporting teeth being crowned and getting another abcess also will a bridge be able to level out my uneven gumline

A. Hi   You should look into the possibility of an implant although you will need the bone rebuilding as most of the supporting bone around the tooth will have been lost during the apicectomys.

See if your dentist can refer you for a 2nd opinion to an Implantologist
