Teeth are healthy but need re-shaping

Q. Hi there, my teeth are all healthy but I would like to get them re-shaped as they are not in line (the front four). I was wondering if my local dentist would be able to re-shape them or do I have to go to a specialist? Also is it an expensive procedure? Thankyou,
A. Your best option for aligning/straightening teeth is to have orthodontics.(brace) There is a good appliance available that is removable and is designed to work on the front teeth only. It is called an inman aligner.I would not advise you to start filing teeth down- as they are all healthy.Veneers is also an option, but try the orthodontics first.Hope this has helped.

Hi I had to have my whole mouth filled with crowns due to dental decay and a problem with my jaw. My dentist has done a great job with my bite and is a great guy. But i don’t think he has really thought through the aesthetics of what my teeth look like now and isn’t too open to discussing it. So my question is, now that all the crowns are fitted, would another dentist be open to ‘shaping’ the crowns that i have – mainly reducing the length on the front? Thanks
