Taking into account my past dental history will I have to pay the full amount for dental crowns?

Q. Hi About 28 years ago when I was 22 my dentist decided to refer me to Liverpool dental hospital because my teeth where in poor condition. Over the next five years I had most of my upper teeth crowned. During the last few years I have had regular check-ups and treatment with various NHS dentist resulting in most of my teeth being crowned. Quite a few of my teeth are now exposed at the base of the crown due to the gum around the tooth receding. I have been told to replace most of the crowns privately will cost a considerable amount. Also a previous dentist was’nt keen to replace some of the crowns for fear of what he may find underneath. However, thankfully my current dentist is prepared to carry out the procedure of replacing the crowns. Taking into account my past dental history will I have to pay the full amount? Many thanks.,
A. You probably will be you’ll need to discuss this individually with your dentist
