Can You Recommend A Top Dental Clinic To Fit Permanent Crowns?

Tuesday, November 5th, 2013
Q.

Hello Dr Shaffie. Can you recommend a top dental clinic to fit permanent crowns? I have temporary crowns in two adjacent molar implants fitted a year ago. How much should I expect to pay?

The current crown is a twin crown fitted into typical titanium abutments, which are fitted very well and securely.
I need to have top quality work done and cost is not the big issue. Reliable work and after care is most important.  My oral hygiene is very good and enjoy good health . I am 70 years of age and I would like this problem sorted out.
Thank you in advance for any advice you can offer me.

I Recently Had Four Crowns Fitted But Have Come To The Conclusion They Are Too Long, Is It Possible To Have Them Shortened?

Monday, October 21st, 2013
Q.

Hi, I’ve recently had 4 crowns fitted on my upper 4 front teeth.

I thought they looked okay before I had them cemented in place but after a few days with them I’ve come to the conclusion they are too long. Other people have commented on this also. They are also brighter than my other teeth, but this was not so noticeable in the dentist chair and I know that can not be fixed now.

I was wondering is it possible to have Zirconia crowns shortened and reshaped at the bottom and if so by how much, 1mm maybe?

I Regret Having My Original Teeth Out, What Are My Options Now?

Friday, March 1st, 2013
Q.

I am a class-III under-bite patient. I have undergone a procedure recently during which my 4 upper front teeth were removed recently and doctor gave me Zirconia bridge. This was placed onto my two canines by grinding it right down. My dentist suggested to procedure so I thought it would all work out absolutely fine. At first it seemed okay however later I realised that I have done biggest mistake in my life by removing my original teeth.I realise that I cannot get these back so have tried to gain advice.  I have consulted many other doctors who are suggesting to go for Jaw surgery for correction and then they can place two implants to support new teeth.

Kindly advise me to take the decision please.

The post of my crown is very dark, is there anyway to make the crown itself more opaque?

Thursday, October 13th, 2011
Q.

Hi, 4 years ago, i had a metal fused to porcelain crown done, and recently i went to a cosmetic dentist to get a all ceramic crown done, i only then realised i had a metal post and now it shines through my all ceramic crown.my dentist did suggest that it is very difficult to remove a healthy post and mine is very healthy it could fracture resulting an implant and i cant take the high risk. Would it be possible to still have a ceramic crown but have it bit more opaque in the middle to hide the metal post? My teeth are shade A1 and my dentist said i would have to go for a much yellow crown to hide the post but can he not make it a bit more opaque in the middle to eliminate the greyish colour metal post?
Many thanks!

Are Lumineers appropriate for my dark teeth, or can I go with my preferred choice of internal bleaching?

Friday, October 29th, 2010
Q.
Dr. Bohara: I had an injury to top front tooth. I had a root canal & internal bleaching. The bleaching lasted a couple of years. The tooth has turned dark again. I have a new dentist this time who is recommending a lumineer. I asked her what she thought about another internal bleaching, but she said they frequently don’t last. She also said the lumnineer would be warranteed for 5 years. My insurance company has agreed to pay for the lumineer, but won’t pay for the bleaching. Yet, I’m concerned about having my tooth surface sanded down when it looks perfectly fine as is. What would you recommend?,
