One of my tooth is pushed back, is it right to have veneers at this situation

Monday, August 3rd, 2009
Q.
I wore a fixed brace two years ago and since then one tooth had pushed back just a little. I went to an orthadontist who quoted a price of £2,800 for the treatment. do you think this is a reasonable quotation? i want to emphasise that my tooth hasn’t moved that much!! also i was talking to a friend who had some veneers in and thought the world of them. is this a situation where i could possibly consider just a veneer on the tooth to give the impression that it’s straight?

Monday, August 3rd, 2009
Q.
Dr Solanki I am a 23 year old female and my teeth have always been very weak. I havent been to a dentist for years because i am so nervous about the outcome. I am at the stage now where I feel the dentist would have some very bad news for me. Four of my back teeth are missing yet only partly and my gums are now VERY painful and distorted. I have pain in my jaw which runs down to my neck and I am very worried about this. I want so desperately to get this all sorted but as i mentioned before they anxiety of horrible news has stopped me. Kind regards

My crown has a gap around can this cause like sharp pain in ear area?

Monday, August 3rd, 2009
Q.
Good Day Dr. Solanki, I had a crown done a little over a year ago. It was fine until it fell out about 3 months later and had a smell. I didn’t realize that food was getting food under the crown. So he cleaned it and put the crown back. The crown still has a gap around half where I know that food has been getting in. I haven’t gone back to him, because he’s pretty harsh on the mouth. So I did seek another dentist, which she looked at it and was shocked what she saw. I go back to her in August. My question is that, I’ve felt some pain here and there, can this cause like sharp pain in the ear/head area? It’s a molar, top left side. Thank you for your time!

Can i get a full makeover and be able to pay over a long period of time?

Monday, August 3rd, 2009
Q.
Hello Dr Solanki, I am a pretty desperate person of late. Desperate for a smile that I have never had. I am 53yrs old, and have always been scared of dentists since my youth, parents were poor so could not afford treatment. I dont have the funds right now for treatment, so as time goes on they will get worse. I rarely smile, as my teeth protrude, they are breaking up, I know they will get worse and right now I cant do a thing about it…but would love to. i have seen great work done on programmes such as “10 years younger” and wished I could get treatment like that. It would help me so much physically and mentally and more. I take one look at the prices and my heart sinks knowing I cant get there. Therefore I am asking in a really genuine but desperate attempt to get help. Is there any way I can get a full makeover (I do need it..)and be able to pay over a long period of time? Alternatively, in exchange for the work done, I would be more than happy to promote your work and business with referrals. I can see you laughing and about to delete me, but I am not a crank, it is a serious offer. I just do not know which way to turn. There are many people who trawl the internet for cosmetic practices, and I can certainly promote yours, of that I have no problem. If you saw my mouth, you would understand why I am asking. I am a good person, and I would really promote your work continuously through the many people I talk to, especially women (I sell nail care products), they spend…! I would hope you do not disregard this as a crank, absolutely not, but if you feel in your heart you could do it I would deeply appreciate it. If it is a no, I would understand. kind regards

Would it be possible to pull the teeth and put in implant denture on the same day

Monday, August 3rd, 2009
Q.
I am 55 and only have 5 front teeth on top and 1 back tooth and each side on the bottom. I am not worried about getting the top denture, but I have a tiny bone ridge on the bottom. Except for the 2 teeth to extract, the others have been out for a year. When I go can they pull the 2 teeth and put in the implant denture on the same day. I thought they you may have to have the teeth pulled and let the gum heal before they will do an implant denture. Please tell me if it can be done. Thanks

Hello Doctor, I am a 22 years old female. 3 of my milk tooth on the upper jaw( both canines and right 2nd bicuspid) never fell off. one canine was removed 4 -5 years back in the hope of the new one coming but it did not. now xray shows that all the 3 new teeth are stuck up in the gums. infact the new tooth for my left canine is gone far up next to the nostril. Please suggest what sort of treatment will it require for these new teeth to be brought down. Thanks!

Ive a decay under the mid left lower tooth is there any other option other than extraction

Saturday, August 1st, 2009
Q.
Hi, I have decay deep under the mid left lower tooth caused by biting into food and it remaining trapped. An xray was taken showing the shadow. My dentist has stated that extraction is the only answer as it would be impossible to seal as it’s below the gum line and moisture would disolve any works. She suggests a denture. Implants are out of the question due to the expense. She has done excellent root canal work on the other side of my mouth so this work does not faze her. She said this would not be an option in this case. Can you suggest something? I am loath to remove a healthy tooth that I tend to bite on. I do not have any lower back teeth on that side so its important that I try to keep it. I am on anti biotics in the meantime. Thank you. Regards
