Ive have pain in my jaw which runs down to my neck how can i get it sorted

Q. Dr Solanki I am a 23 year old female and my teeth have always been very weak. I havent been to a dentist for years because i am so nervous about the outcome. I am at the stage now where I feel the dentist would have some very bad news for me. Four of my back teeth are missing yet only partly and my gums are now VERY painful and distorted. I have pain in my jaw which runs down to my neck and I am very worried about this. I want so desperately to get this all sorted but as i mentioned before they anxiety of horrible news has stopped me. Kind regards

A. Hi. You need to know tat the longer you leave your mouth and teeth untreated, the likelyhood of you needing MORE treatment is increased. I would advise you to see your dentist for a consultation, discuss your issues/concerns and see what options are available to you. If you are having pain, then this is a sign that you need urgent attention. THe pain will not magically disappear and you need to resolve it now before it worsens. You are young now and if you start to look after your teeth now, then the rest of your teth may be saved. Think of your future. Good luck.
