Would it be possible to pull the teeth and put in implant denture on the same day
Q. I am 55 and only have 5 front teeth on top and 1 back tooth and each side on the bottom. I am not worried about getting the top denture, but I have a tiny bone ridge on the bottom. Except for the 2 teeth to extract, the others have been out for a year. When I go can they pull the 2 teeth and put in the implant denture on the same day. I thought they you may have to have the teeth pulled and let the gum heal before they will do an implant denture. Please tell me if it can be done. Thanks
A. If the 2 teeth you have left on the lower jaw are OK- I would advise you to keep hold of them as they help to keep the bone levels stable around them. Mini implants and conventional implants are good for helping to keep dentures in (kind ok like a press-stud action) This all depends on the amount of bone you have. You will need a CT scan to confirm this.
Loading the denture on the same day CAN be done, as long as you’re aware that any extra force on the implants may compromise them integrating to the bone. I would be more than happy to see you for a free consultation at my kissdental practice- or alternatively, I can recommend you to somebody in your area. Hope this has helped

Have you herd of a dental implant firm called spectra
I am not aware of a company called spectra or an implant system called by this name. The nearest match would be astra / astra tech part of Astra Zeneca,
