Do I need to have surgical flap for tooth removal?

I have an infection in UL4 and I have been told that the tooth needs to be extracted. My dentist says that the extraction may require a surgical flap (cutting the gum). What can I do if I would prefer a flapless extraction?,

i have seen my dentist and a dental hygenist due to my two front teeth leaking with puss but they have not cured it i have had cleaning and antibiotics its extremely embarrising what can i do and how will it stop,
