Hello When I was 16 I wore a retainer to sort out my over bite and my front 2 top teeth which cross over (I was a thumb sucker as a child). My treatment was never finished. No, at 25yrs my main concern is my front two top teeth. One overlaps the other, the overlapping tooth get bashed quite a bit and the corner is slowly chipping/wearing away. Apparently I also push my tongue forward onto these two teeth every time I swallow (tongue thrusting) wish is slowly making it worse. I am looking to get my front teeth straightened but am not sure what sort of treatment this would involve and at what cost. Please could you advise on the best affordable solutions for me. Can i wear my retainers only at nights?

I just got my retainers and its really geting hard to ge used to especially with my tongue being placed between the retainers and was wondering if it could be possible just to wear the retainers at night instead of day and night, My othrodontist told me to wear it for 6 months, i actually went by 1 month without wearing the retainers due to the delay of my appointment and my teeth haven’t moved at all? is it possible to wear it just for nights?

Im 50 and I have crooked teeth can u suggest what to do?

My upper four front teeth are quite big and as a result one incisor has been squeezed backwards and the other one infront and it is protruding in a very embarrassing way. The two lower teeth have been squeezed to the front, the incisors pushed virtually to the back and barely visible and the canines almost taking the incisors positions. I am an adult over 50 years and as you can imagine, wire braces would not be on my shopping list. Please advise me the best way forward and how long it would be to get my teeth straightened and how much it would cost. And do you have a payment plan?

Can u suggest how i can file and straighten my squared teeth?

What kind of treatment can i get for jaw protrusion?

Dear Dr.Caplan I had braces at 26 and removed them 18 months later with excellent results. However, 10 years later, I now find a slight upper jaw protrusion. I did not continue using the retainer as long as I should have, could this be related? Can this now be treated without braces? I’m now 38. Thank you

Is there a way of getting teeth straightened other than braces?

Hi, im 23 and looking into getting my teeth straightened. on my top row its the 4 middle ones that are the problem. the middle 2 are quite big and the 2 either side of them have twisted at an angle outwards so my smile just looks awful! is there a way other than wearing braces that this can be fixed so that my middle 2 teeth arnt as big and the other 2 are twited back round to the right position?

Im 42 can i still get braces to straighten my teeth

I have had crowns on my front teeth since about the age of 10. my teeth protude at the front due to the sucking of thumb when little. i am now 42 and am seriously thinking of having a brace to push tme back. is it too late for this and can it be done with the crowns on the front two teeth without dislodging them.
