Braces corrected my teeth when I was younger but I feel like my teeth are moving out of place again, what should I do?

Saturday, December 4th, 2010
Q.

Hi Andrew,  I´m 24 and when I was younger (14 or so) I wore braces to correct my two top front teeth because they were really crooked. The braces have resulted in me having perfectly straight teeth, but ever since then, every so often, my teeth feel like they are moving, a slight click. A couple more years have passed and I admit I´ve been through emotional strain, but the teeth feel different in my mouth, like they have moved, and sometimes it feels like I can feel my heartbeat vibrate in them. They don’t feel wobbly as such, but I´m paranoid about losing one. What shall I do, what is causing all of this?

Thankyou

How long would it take to close gaps in my teeth with braces& what would be the cost?

Friday, November 19th, 2010
Q.
Dear Dr Patel, I would appreciate if you could answer to my below questions; My problem is that I have a Periodontal disease and I lost few teeth’s. At the moment I have a partial metal denture. Some of my teeth’s are moved and crate a big spaces between them and it look’s ugly. I believe that some of the orthodontic treatment has to take place, before any additional action to my perfect smile. The teeth’s which needs orthodontic treatment are the upper R2 and L2. Could you please let me know how long I need to wear the braces to straighten them and the cost. (appox).,

One of my teeth has shifted since I’ve had my braces off, how can I fix this?

Thursday, November 18th, 2010
Q.
Hi Dr I have had the whole process of braces in my teens. I did everything that the dentist told me but for a few years now one tooth had started to move back. Just to let you know its the tooth next to the front two teeth, I think it is called the lateral incisor? I have visited the dentist for several check up’s and every time she says there is nothing that she can do to move the tooth forward to its original position.Overall I have nice teeth but its that one tooth that makes my whole smile look wonky. What do you think I should do? Thank you,

I am struggling to keep tartar from the back of my two front lower teeth. Can you offer any practical advice?

Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010
Q.
Dr Hughes. After years of not looking after my teeth due to a fear of the dentist, I got gum disease (suprise suprise I hear you say!! I have since booked my ideas up and after 2 years of regular dental appointments and a new dental regime my gums are back to health. HOWEVER I struggle to keep the tartar from the back of my 2 front lower teeth and because of my previous gum disease I have practically no gum left at the front or back of these 2 teeth. My dentist doesn’t seem too worried. There is a little movement in them but not much. Is there any surgery I could have to cover up the space where my gum has dissapeared? or could you suggest anything else? I am 36 years of age and use to have lovely white teeth some of which are now stained as a result of using Corsidal. Any advice on treatment would be very much appreciated. ,
