My Teeth and Gums are in Poor Condition. What Can Be Done?

Tuesday, March 17th, 2015
Q.

Hi, I would like to know what treatments are available for me. I have have no back teeth on the top and just my back ones on the bottom and they are rotting away. My front ones have small cavities in different teeth. I really need help and want some good news that there is something available for me. I’m really embarrassed and depressed about how bad I’ve let them get. I’m always getting sore throats and pains, and my gums are not feeling in great condition. If I don’t get help now I will have no teeth left very soon. I’m so insecure it’s draining my life.

Should I have my removable bridge replaced with individual crowns?

Wednesday, September 5th, 2012
Q.

Hello there! I hope you are well! Okay here is the problem: I currently have a removable acrylic bridge of three teeth in my right side upper jaw, between my front and my rear teeth. It is not that comfortable and I was considering having individual crowns because I feel it will only get worse – (not sure if the crowns are called bolt in or screw in.) Could you indicate how long the surgery would take and how much I would be expected to pay for the treatment? (I wish to start saving for it as soon as possible!) Should I wait or have it done now? Would my current (NHS) dentist be likely to give a discount, as I am now 65? Any advice would be great, Thank you for your time.
