Hi I am 59 years of age, and have had protruding front

Saturday, September 5th, 2009
Q.
Hi I am 59 years of age, and have had protruding front teeth since the age of nine. I have always been afraid of dentists due to a very bad experience at the age of 4 years. My question is am I too old to have them straightened and can anything be done, should the above be correct? I have been tormented by my peers both in my adult and child hood. Although I have coped with the teasing since I was a child, with the knowledge that it is thier problem, it has always left me feeling insecure. I would dearly love to have them straightened if possible for myself. I await in anticipation for your answer. Yours sincerely.

Im 25 and i have overlapping teeth what can i do?

Thursday, September 3rd, 2009
Q.
Hello When I was 16 I wore a retainer to sort out my over bite and my front 2 top teeth which cross over (I was a thumb sucker as a child). My treatment was never finished. No, at 25yrs my main concern is my front two top teeth. One overlaps the other, the overlapping tooth get bashed quite a bit and the corner is slowly chipping/wearing away. Apparently I also push my tongue forward onto these two teeth every time I swallow (tongue thrusting) wish is slowly making it worse. I am looking to get my front teeth straightened but am not sure what sort of treatment this would involve and at what cost. Please could you advise on the best affordable solutions for me. I look forward to your reply Many Thanks,

Can u advice me on subsidized cosmetic treatment?

Monday, August 24th, 2009
Q.
Hi Julian i need some advice i haven’t been to a dentist since i was in my early teens i’m now 29, My teeth are really bad and have been since a kid and have affected my confidence greatly i’m also terrified of the dentist since i was given gas as a kid and took a bad reaction to it. I know i have to do something with my teeth as they are only going to get worse and i need my confidence back as it holds me back, my fear is if i need cosmetic treatment and the cost i wouldn’t be able to afford the treatment as my teeth are that bad. Is there any instances where treatment done subsidised i really want to avoid false teeth. Any advice on what to do would be great thanks.

Financial packages for smile makeovers using crown lengthening

Sunday, August 23rd, 2009
Q.
I have small teeth and when I smile you can see quite a lot of gum. I would like big white teeth and heard that there was a procedure that could scale gums back. Is this true? Also, could I have this treatment in conjunction with having veneers fitted and overall whitening to create that ‘hollywood’ smile look? How much should I expect to pay and are finance packages in usually place if I am unable to pay the full amount up front?

Will teeth whitening remove the stains?

Sunday, August 23rd, 2009
Q.
Hi, I have some staining on my teeth from my braces – the staining is little circles and looks like it’s from the glue which was used to fix the brace on. I wanted to get my teeth whitened but I am worried the rest of the tooth will be whiter and the stain will just look worse. Is this something which generally I should be worried about or os this sort of thing generally corrected wiothout problem? (I appreciate that you will no be able to give a specific answer without a consult)

My daughter has a perfect teeth but she has been refered to the orthodontist can u tell why

Monday, June 22nd, 2009
Q.
My 16 year old daughter went to our new dentist for a dental exam and I was told she needed to see an orthodontist. My daughter’s teeth are perfectly straight and her bite appears to be just fine. She has gone to the dentist over the last 10 years and this is the first time that we have ever been told she needs to see an orthodontist. I was so upset when we were given a referral that I decided to end our Dr. patient relationship. Is there some reason that is completely invisible to the naked eye and x-ray that would cause a dentist to refer a patient? I feel like I can’t trust this dentist. Please give me your opinion.

Hi please help me,I HATE my teeth.I was born with a cleft lip and pallate so as you can imagin my teeth are in a real sate,They have gaps and chips in them are crooked and discoulerd. My bite is also way out of line. I realy want to be able to smile again, have pictures taken with my son and go out with my friends without wearing a scalf over my face. I have asked my dentist to take them all out and give me dentures, but he said he wouldnt recommend it as the way my mouth is(i have had bone grafts etc) he doesnt think that i will be able to hold them. There must be something i can have done. I dont have much money but am willing to do what i can do be able to afford to have something done to them(finance is not an option for me) All i want is to be able to smile at people most importantley my son and to have the confidence to be able to go out without my scalfs.
