My daughter has a perfect teeth but she has been refered to the orthodontist can u tell why

Q. My 16 year old daughter went to our new dentist for a dental exam and I was told she needed to see an orthodontist. My daughter’s teeth are perfectly straight and her bite appears to be just fine. She has gone to the dentist over the last 10 years and this is the first time that we have ever been told she needs to see an orthodontist. I was so upset when we were given a referral that I decided to end our Dr. patient relationship. Is there some reason that is completely invisible to the naked eye and x-ray that would cause a dentist to refer a patient? I feel like I can’t trust this dentist. Please give me your opinion.

A. I can’t tell you without seeing your daughter, perhaps you should get a 2nd opinion from another dentist?
