The edge of my capped and veneered teeth is now badly stained. Can you advise on a treatment to replace this?

Thursday, October 28th, 2010
Q.
I had a cap and 4 enamel veneers fitted on the NHS about 15 years ago The edges of these are now badly stained and look awful ! I know it’s likely that I will need to pay for this to be rectified or at least look better. Can you suggest what treatment options there are to cure this. Also I’m not in a great financial position at the moment so I need it to be as inexpensive as possible. Thanks,

My daughter has 4-6 milk teeth and is worried they will soon fall out and leave her with gaps. What would be the best course of action?

Tuesday, October 26th, 2010
Q.
My daughter has 4-6 milk teeth in her top jaw and near the front, she had been attending an orthodentist since she was 7yrs old t they saw her at 6monthly intervalsbut every time, they decided to leave things until the teeth fell out naturally. Then when she was 16 and just about to start college they said they wanted to take all the milk teeth out and see what happened of course my daughter was upset and couldn’t face college with the prospect of gaps in her teeth so she refused the treatment and we heard no more from the orthodentist. Daughter is now 19 and seems to be anxious about these teeth and the what will happen when they do come out, she also thinks they look unsightly and this is affecting her confidence. I am trying to persuade her to face up to the problem and see another orthodentist to see what can be done now but as I am a lone parent she is very worried about the costs and that she may have gaps whilst the treatment is being done.I also had this problem and had orthodentic treatment at my local hospital when I was in my 20’s I ended up with a crown and a bridge which are both ok,but think I would want something better for my daughter. What do you think would be the best course of action?how do we get referred to a hospital orthodentist?,

Would I be able to get the NHS to pay half on bridge implants and I pay the other half?

Friday, October 22nd, 2010
Q.
I start a full mouth restauration a year ago.I had all the extraction done on upper and lower jaw ,been healed already with four teeths on upper jaw who require crowns and for teeths on lower jaw who are good.I manage to have 6 implants on my upper jaw but unfortunatly the circumstances change so I get stuck in the midle with an inapropiate temporary bridge on upper jaw and nothing on the lower jaw and I m on incapacity benefit right now and have HC2 certificate as well. What i wanna know if is possible to have at least upper jaw fixed on NHS with bridge on implants taking in consideration i will need 6 abutments as well .I know they are not suported by Nhs,but i would like to know an idea about how much it will cost me .I cant have any finance because of a bad credit but I can’t aford to pay some money montly. It is possible to get cover the amount from NHS and pay some as well?,
