What is the average cost of veneers or lumineers?

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010
Q.
Would like to have some advice regarding the cost of veneers or lumineers and whether you require a deposit. I have a wonky smile an overbite and badly stained teeth, my lower teeth are also crumbly and i make a lot of tartar which i try and keep under control with regular flossing, in other words i hate my teeth. I also have receeding gums over my fang teeth which is really worrying me so would be grateful if you could tell me if that could be corrected. I have always wanted lovely teeth but am very nervous as i know its a long procedure and am woried if i could take the pain plus have never thought i would be able to afford them. Many thanks for all your help I live in Bishops Stortford so you practise is not too far away from me.,

Is 10 year old enough for veneers?

Friday, January 22nd, 2010
Q.
Hi My 10 year old son fell and chipped the bite wings of his two front teeth and is very upset about it. They have been bonded on but one has moved up and sideways so we are waiting to see the orthodonist. He is mortified and wants his old teeth back. When he smiles you cannot see the bonding but when his mouth is half closed you can clearly see the line and bonding at the bottom is this normal. When will he be old enough for vineers or lumineers. Thank you.,

Can I achieve a nice smile as I have gum disease?

Thursday, January 21st, 2010
Q.
I am a 39 years old and have been so unhappy with my teeth for many years, and lack confidence with my smile. I do not have any fillings however, i do suffer from gum disease where i have receding bone on my teeths. I would love to have a georgous smile where my teeth are levelled and white. I have researched Vaneers and straying more towards Lumineers…What do you think? Is there any hope for me? IS it expensive to do? I feel I am quite elegant and love dressing up but as soon as i smile i feel weak.,

Is there an effective treatment for tetracycline staining?

Tuesday, January 19th, 2010
Q.
Is there an effective treatment for tetracycline staining that (i) doesn’t involve cutting into my otherwise healthy teeth, and (ii) won’t cause gum disease? My dentist made me a mould and provided two weeks’ worth of bleach but there was no discernible improvement. Thank you for your advice.,

Should I seek legal advice about poor lumineers treatment?

Thursday, January 14th, 2010
Q.
Dr. Moore, I had 20 Lumineers put on my teeth in June 2008. Since then many of them had to be replaced since they fell off or chipped. My dentist preped and ground my teeth to the point to which I cannot be without a Lumineers. I am very worried and sad about this situation. I don’t know if I should ask for my money back or seek legal advice. Please, give me your advice.,

Should I get whitening or lumineers?

Thursday, January 14th, 2010
Q.
Hi Rob, I have just read one of your replies re: cost and if lumineers are a better choice or not. My question would be for your recommendation for stained/discoloured teeth (by tetracycline). Mine have been whitened twice already (Zoom) and of course they are a lot better but they are far from being white. Most of the people say there is nothing wrong with them but i still don’t like the photos of me smiling as they are way too yellow/greyish (especially comparing someone smiling next to me). They are slightly crooked as well but not too bad. What would be your recommendation? Invisalign and more whitening (what i’m concerned about doing too many times) or lumineers? I really liked the idea of lumineers first but since I have read a lot of bad as well. The price is also quite high for me. I’d also like to keep my original teeth as long as i can as apart from the colour there hasn’t been anything wrong with them. Please advise. Thanks a lot in advance.,

Can you reccomend a dentist in west midlands for lumineers?

Thursday, January 14th, 2010
Q.
Hi Rob, I am 36 years old and am considering getting cosmetic dentistry (Lumineers) done. I have gaps in my upper front teeth and would like them closed. However I also have receding gums, so do not want anything done until this has stabilised. Ideally im looking for a one stop shop where I can go for this treatment but I need to take costs into account and ideally looking for someone in the west midlands, Birmingham if possible, although for a recommended clinic I can travel furthe. I was wondering if you could kindly recommend a clinic or specialist that specializes in periodontics (possibly gum grafting) and cosmetic surgery. Thanks,
