I recently had two small fillings behind my front tooth, after the injection wore off my teeth where extemely sensitive, then it stopped. For nearly a week now iv had tooth ache, but the pain has changed now though its continuous and my top teeth (next to the tooth I had filled) feel loose could this be due to the work I had done?

my wisdom tooth is loose australia

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008
Q.
Hi Doctor, and I am a single Mum two. I live in Melbourne Australia, I went to the dentist for the first time in years (like most people, I simply could not afford it) and was told I had gum disease, my lower back tooth nest to my wisdom tooth is loose and he also said I have it on the opposite side up the top. I have been flossing daily and and using a mouth wash, will I loose this tooth eventually or can I save it and the ones surrounding it if I keep up great hygene? I’m never going to be able to afford implants in the future, please help, I am really frightened. Thank you so much for your time. Kind Regards

I have very strong, healthy teeth but my right hand front tooth is loose

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008
Q.
I am fortunate to have very strong, healthy teeth. I am 62 years old and have lost 5 teeth in my youth, towards the back of my mouth. I have no dentures. My family kept most of their teeth all their lives (into 90’s). A few months ago, at a time of stress, I became aware that my right hand front tooth was loose – I have no idea why. Nothing happened that I can recall to cause it and I was not suddenly aware of it, it happened gradually. It is sore if I try to bite with it but otherwise does not bother me, although I am concerned that I should do something about it. I had hoped it would reseat itself! My dentist is all but retired and I am VERY nervous of finding a new one. I am also bothered about having to have it out as it is in the front and my teeth are very white and even at present. I have never smoked.

my dentist in france has sugested staples for my loose teeth

Thursday, July 31st, 2008
Q.
I live in France, my dentist has suggested that I have what I can only describe as staples put between my loose teeth to stabalise them. Have you heard of this method? She is also talking of building up my 2 front teeth to close the 4mm gap that I have developed over the past 5 years. Again something I have not heard of. Please can you set my mind at rest that this is acceptable treatment as it is far from cheap!!!

My front tooth is loose due to gum disease should I have a Maryland bridge or denture

Thursday, July 10th, 2008
Q.
Hi, I have a front loose tooth due which I am about to lose due to Gum disease. I have been offered the option of replacing the tooth with a denture (dont want this) or a Maryland bridge. Only problem with the bridge is that I have read that the metal can show through the teeth & that a gap may be visible due to gum shrinkage. In the long term I would like an implant to replace this loose tooth but have been told that the gum diseases in that area has to clear before an implant is possible. Would you advise me to go with a temporary denture or the maryland bridge, how long would you recommend i wait before going for an implant?. Thanks

Monday, July 7th, 2008
Q.
Hi, I have gum disease which is currently been treated, however one of my front teeth have to be extracted due to becoming loose , I have been advised to choose either a Maryland bridge or a denture as a temporary measure as I would like to go for an Implant. Please can you advise how long I would have to wait before I could o for an implant? also i read on the net about Strauman SLActive implants which reduce the overall healing time from 6mths to 1mth? is this true or just a gimmick. I would be grateful for your advice. Thank you

I fell and knocked my teeth out ive had infection and bone loss

Sunday, July 6th, 2008
Q.
When I was young I fell and knocked my 2 front teeth as a result I had an operation and the root of one of the teeth was removed. A few years later I has the tooth crowned and not long after I got an infection in the roof of my mouth. An x-ray showed that this infection was going right from the crown up into the palet of my mouth, the specialist told me I need ot have an operation to remove the infection but I have had bone removed during my first operation which I was not aware of and there is a 50/50 chance I could lose the tooth during or not longer after the operation. What would be my best option if I do lose the tooth? Would a dental implant be suitable? And whatever the necessary treatment can you give me an idea of the price I would be looking at?
