My front teeth and the one at the other side are crooked should i have a braces again

Q. Hi I had a brace when i was a teenager and this was taken off in 2001. Afterwards i temporarily had a retainer but then i had a piece of metal wire bonded behind my top teeth and bottom teeth, so that i no longer had to use the retainer. While i have looked after my teeth i’m ashamed to say that i haven’t been to a dentist since then nor am i registered with one. About 9 months ago the metal behind my top teeth snapped and i had it rebonded at the dental hospital where i went as a child, this happened again about 2 months later and i went back there again. However, yesterday i bit into a sandwich and the metal pushed upwards into my gums, into what felt like an arch shape. I went back to the same hospital and had it rebonded but when i got home it had snapped again. After the bank holiday i will make it my priority to register with a dentist but my concern is that ive noticed that one of my front teeth and the one at the other side of it have started to move into the crooked position they were in before i started treatment and this is causing me quite a lot of upset as they were a mess before i had braces. Once i get registered with a dentist will they recommend i have a brace again because i want my straight smile back?? Thanks for the help.

A. Hi If you want straight teeth again maybe you could try an inman aligner or invisalign, then have new bonded retainer fitted. This could then be checked regularly at your 6 monthly check up appointment
