Is it possible to have dental implant in lower left molar area

Thursday, October 8th, 2009
Q.
Following some failed (and negligent) dental treatment i require an implant in the lower left second molar area. i’ve had some consultations with implant surgeons, some of whom have told me it’s not usually desireable to place implants in this area. i’m interested to know if you feel it is usually possible to place implants in this area? if so, how many have you personally placed? and what success rate do you have for placements in this lower second molar region? many thanks

Im not happy with my front teeth bridges so can ive dental implants instead advice

Thursday, October 8th, 2009
Q.
Hi. Would you be able to help me. I have a bridge at the front of my mouth Teath 1-3 on the left 4 on the left has recently been extracted. on the right tooth 1 is normal 2 is crowned 3 is normal. The bridge I have had for 20 years now and it looks horrid and does not match my only natural tooth at the front. I am keen to have an implant in space 4 as I just cant cope with the denture I have been given. DO you have any suggestions of what can be done and a rough idea of the cost to have my teath 4-4 looking the same?

Is it a good idea to get dental implant for my molar

Thursday, October 8th, 2009
Q.
Hi there, I’ve recently had a molar second from back on the top jaw removed because of a fractured tooth from eating some hard chocolate. I’m quite young 25 and was wondering if you thought getting a dental implant was a good idea or bad? Most of my molars have quite large fillings and im afraid of the bone tissue and teeth close to the gap weakening. Also i’ve heard of some new advancements of growing new teeth from stem cells. Would this be a viable option in the future? Thanks

Ive a deep and wide gum recession is it possible for me to get implants

Thursday, October 8th, 2009
Q.
Dear Dr Moore I have been told that I have Miller’s class 4 gum recession on two front teeth and consequently cannot have a gum graft to achieve any root coverage. Is this true? Secondly: With such deep and wide recession would the eventual need for implants be jeopardised i.e. with such a level of recession would it be a problem to fit implants if I lost the teeth in question? Many thanks.

Can i get dental implant on my two front teeth instead of having partial dentures

Thursday, October 8th, 2009
Q.
I will soon be getting a partial upper denture. At first we had planned on keeping my front 7 teeth. I was looking forward to getting them capped. Especially front 2. Now I was told I can only keep 5 and one of my front teeth has to be extracted. A couple of questions. #1 What work should be done first the extractions or putting the crowns on teeth I will be keeping. Then do the extractions? #2 If they have to remove one of my front teeth why not take them both and put in implants. Then the partial could attach to them. If they can only save 5 teeth and want to crown them wouldnt it be better to have them leave 2 to crown and get 2 implants in front. I think it seem strange to have one front tooth attached to a partial and one capped dont you? Thanks..

Any other treatment then dentures for roof of mouth

Tuesday, October 6th, 2009
Q.
I have never had good teeth and now have no top teeth left.I’am 35 now but have always had a fear of the dentist. I hate having dentures as they have taken away any confidence i used to have.Every time i go to the dentist i always seem to come away with dentures that have teeth that are bigger than which was on my old plate. I have been wearing the same plate for years which has no gum above the teeth and find that i cannot wear the full set of dentures they try to give me as they feel awkward and make me gag. Can you advise me if i have any other available options rather than dentures. i would love to have the roof of my mouth back again rather than a plastic one but understand this may not be optimistic. with thanks.
